Clinical Approach and Theoretical Orientation

I am a Clinical and Developmental Psychology PhD candidate with over five years of experience providing evidence-based therapeutic interventions to children, adolescents, adults, and families. I am especially interested in helping young people who are struggling with low mood, anxious feelings, and navigating big transitions and social relationships.

I take a collaborative approach with my clients, recognizing that my clients are experts in their lived experiences.

My theoretical orientation is firmly grounded in evidence-based cognitive and behavioral theory, and developmental science. Beginning with thorough assessments from multiple sources, my clients and I collaborate to develop a strong case conceptualization and treatment plan that will work for them, which we continuously update via routine outcome monitoring. As clients rarely present with a single disorder, my intervention approach targets key mechanisms underlying transdiagnostic features, often starting with the most impairing symptoms. While I largely take a CBT-based approach, I draw from other evidence-based therapeutic approaches (e.g., ACT) when appropriate.
